Tema: The Nordic Property Market
Very strong Norwegian economy and investment opportunities in new building
– Analysis of the present situation and the most important trends
Norway is in a class of its own when it comes to economic muscles. Domestic consumption in both the private and public sectors contributed to growth during 2010. Unemployment in Norway is currently below 4%. However, growth is slowing somewhat due to labour shortages. A lot of new building is underway, however, from an international perspective it can be difficult to enter the Norwegian market as domestic institutional investors are strong, as are the Norwegian banks. What is the competitive situation like? Who has invested in Norwegian properties during 2011?
